For todays IC577 challenge, I chose this fabulous pair of plaid flats for my inspiration. Die cut the sentiment, bow and tree and partial circle. Assembled the pieces onto an embossed white base.
I chose the tree for the similar shape of the toe portion of the shoes. The plaid is obvious and I wanted to put the black bow on the top of the tree, but it looked strange, so it went under the sentiment.
I hate to put my Christmas things away, so always end up making more cards after I've already done my mailing. It turned out to be a good thing this year, because I was late getting them started and I had several outsides from last year to fill the void.

What a spectacular take on those plaid shoes! Absolutely beautiful! I know what you mean about putting Christmas supplies away, I think they are by far the most fun to play with! Tip: hold onto them a little longer if you have friends and family in snowy states...without the Christmas sentiments they can be converted to 'winter greetings', or if you live in a snow state, into 'greetings from ...'

Wow, Priscilla, I knew what inspired you too! You and Stacy did the same shoes (and I saw them earlier this morning...but haven't made a card...but hope to). Stunning plaid, and what a beautiful Christmas tree and "Joy" to add! I agree with Audrie about keeping the supplies out. You can always work on next year's cards. Hugs, sweet friend, and I wish you and yours a blessed Christmas! xoxo
