I made this card for Robin's Over the River challenge.
My Christmas memory is from 1970. My dad had been working for the US State Dept in Saigon for 3 years, and my mom and my little sister were living in the nearest safe haven in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. My brother and i were in college in Florida. When things in Saigon took a turn for the worse, they sent all the civilian workers home, so my mom, dad, and sister came home on Christmas Eve. My brother and I flew up to meet them at my aunt's house in Virginia. It snowed all day, and that night we went to church for the Christmas Eve service. I'll never forget how I felt that night, so happy to have my family all together again and awed by the beautiful luminarias they had placed in the snow lining the sidewalks.
