I made this card for the Alphabet challenge for the letter Y for: yellow and for a youth's birthday (Abby is my niece). This card looks like it took just a few minutes to make, right? However, it took me nearly all day to get this card made. First, I looked through nearly every cricut cartridge I owned before I found this star image to cut out, then I looked through all the dsp I owned looking for just the right thing. Then it still needed something so I looked through all my lace and ribbon and trims before finding this glitter tape to use. I did not realize how sheer the glitter tape was until I took this photo though (sigh). Then, I stamped the number 11 in many colors of ink (baja breeze, coastal cabana, certainly celery, pear pizzaz, etc.) until I finally stamped it in this yellow. This card was quite literally an uphill climb all the way to get it made, but I am thrilled it is done because Abby's birthday is December 27th, and I still have Christmas cards to make.

Accessories: Paisley Cachemere Cricut Cartridge (for the large star); StampinUp Large Numbers Thinlits Dies; Martha Stewart Punch for the little stars; Light Pink Glitter Tape; 3M Foam Tape
Your card is perfect in every way! Everything goes perfectly together and is perfect for 11! I had to laugh because your process is about exactly my process! I can never find the right color of paper, right pattern, right ribbon, etc. But you batted this one out of the park! A home run!

Perfect card for your soon to be 11 niece. I think we all go through the same process. I have DSP and some embellishments out that I want to use together, now to come up with the card! This turned out beautifully. She's going to love it!

So sorry for all your hard work, Karen. Sometimes it just happens that way, but I'm really happy that you persevered because the end results are Fabulous! Your dp works so well for an 11 year old gal and who doesn't love glitter; especially at that age! Beautiful, mf~

Such an awesome card for an 11 year old girl! I had to chuckle at the time line you laid out because I've been there and it can just drive you crazy, but you know the end result is worth it.
