Hi all! A couple of weeks ago, I wanted to play along with Polly's (peeps321) challenge to use scraps. I've had this experimental card base with modeling paste on my craft table for months but hadn't used it because I had a black smudge (from another modeling paste experiment). The tree was also a scrap I had lying about for another experiment for texture using an ef.
I split the tree in half and (cut a 2nd tree in brown for layering and dimension) and added the yellow ribbon (to hide the smudge) and offset the layer slightly for some volume. Punched the grass (Fiskars) and layered. Added Flowersoft (glad I'm finally using this stuff). Stamped my sentiment in SU Chocolate Chip.
Thank you Polly for such a fun challenge even though I'm a couple of weeks behind!
Thank you for looking!

This is soooo pretty. It fits in the Fan Club November gallery if you want to put it there too. Love the dimension on this - I LOVE modeling paste and love that you thought out of the box and did you sky like this. Fun!!!

Thanks for joining in the scrap challenge Deborah. I love using modeling paste..it's so cool, isnt' it? This turned out great! Cutting the tree in half and using it on the edge of the card is brilliant! And the fall colored flower soft works so well for leaves...I love that you continued it on the grass to show the fallen leaves. Happy Thanksgiving to you!

This is a gorgeous fall card! I love the textured background that showcases this wonderful tree and grass. Sadly, I never use my FlowerSoft either, but I will be digging it out now that I have seen what you have done with it. This is a wonderful Thanksgiving Card! ~Karen.
