Made as a Design Team card for Try Stampin' -Or Not- On Tuesday sketch challenge #300: http://trystampinontuesday.blogspot.com/ The optional theme was "Sweet and Soulful"
The angel stamp is a 1994 PSX Rubber Stamp company stamp from my stash. I had never used it before (an impulse buy MANY years ago!). It was water colored using an Aqua Painter. Her wings were dabbed with Versamark, then SU Heat & Stick Powder. This was heated until it was super sticky, then dusted with SU Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.
The star was punched with a mini-punch in my stash, and the rays were hand- cut from Hello Honey cardstock. The rays were messy to glue down, but since I was going to cover them with glitter, I didn't have to be too careful about glue getting on the front and panel. The star was raised up with Adhesive Foam Strips. The black triangle in the background is cut from SU Basic Black cardstock, which I then a sponged to dab a light coating of liquid glue all over, then dusted with Dazzling Diamonds glitter.
The angel was then mounted over the black triangle on the Pool Party background using Adhesive Foam Strips.
I felt the main stamp itself carried the holiday message, so I didn't clutter the card front with a sentiment.
The hardest part of this project was hand cutting the angel out. Not difficult (hence the rating of "2"), but took some patience and lip biting :-)
