I really wanted to do a 3-D project for this month's theme and I saw these turkeys online. I thought that since they were made from ROSEttes that they would qualify for the "Fall Florals" theme.I cut three different size rosettes from pattern paper (2-sided paper gives a little more interest and depth). I resized my files in the die-cutting software.
I punched 1" and 3/4" circles to glue in the middle of the rosettes and then glued the rosettes together making sure that the edges lined up at the bottom. I punched a base from cardstock with the scallop punch and glued the rosettes to it. I imported the turkey head template into my silhouette and cut two heads. I glued them together and glued the edge to the rosettes. I chose to leave my turkeys plain but you could decorate as you choose.
Our theme this month is FALL FLORALS; hope you'll play along!
Interpretation ideas:
Colors of fall on any floral motif or image
Fall-blooming flowers (mums, asters, sunflowers, black-eyed susans) or fall leaves
Interpret this quote by Albert Camus in your own way: "Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower."

Now you're really thinking outside of the box my friend. These are fantastic. I could see these at each place setting on your Thanksgiving table. Adorable (and clever).
What a fun and creative project, Jean! Those turkeys look so colorful and pretty! I bet they'll make a fabulous table decoration or even a fun hostess gift. Love it!
