The hardest part of this card was to hand-cut the three figures after watercoloring them using my Aqua Painter. They were stamped on Whisper White using the black Stazon ink so the outlines wouldn't smear while I watercolored them.
The background was Cherry Cobbler cardstock embossed with a brick embossing folder. I like the Taylored Expressions folder because the bricks are small and irregular shaped - so they look realistic.
The pretty Christmas striped paper is from Stampin' Up's retired Nordic Noel Designer Series Paper.
Although the challenge sketch didn't call for a sentiment, I felt it seemed incomplete without a Christmas greeting, so I used my SU markers to hand color just two lines of one of the sentiment stamps from the Loads of Love set, and stamped it on Whisper White. I used the label die to cut it out, then re-ran the die and label through the Big Shot using a rubber mat to create edge embossing for a 3D effect. This label was mounted using the foam strips as well.
I think the card would be cute to send to your favorite niece/nephew. It was fun figuring out how to make it, and the water coloring wasn't hard at all! The difficulty rating of "3" is for the hand cutting of the three figures.
