When I saw the challenge I thought of one of my favorite things to do which is to cut a flourish on the diagonal and inlaiy different colors. I actually bought this bundled set with this particular layout that I've used and also the color combination in mind. I cut 4 pieces of 4 by 5 1/4" out of the three colors (you can only do three if you don't intend to use the reverse pieces). I cut one first then remove the diecut trying to keep as many of the teeny inner pieces intact since I didn't intend to switch those colors out. I then took one of the reverse pieces, laid it over the top of the next piece and lined up the die into the space. Ivused my magnetic platform but you can do it without just be surevto hold things carefully in place. I removed the already cut piece carefully and then diecut my second piece. Do the same for the third (Cut a second full size of one colored piece if you want to use the reverse pieces on another card). I cut 4 1/4 by 5 1/2"card bases in the same three colors. I start assembly by gluing a top reverse piece in place on a second color base. Then I glue the diecut in the third colorbinto place. I then assembled the remaining two cards and stamped sentiments. Here's my blog post with step by step instructions.
