This is for a December Birthday. It looks a little Christmassy but it is just a winter birthday card to fit the challenge Jeanne gave us today! This was fun. My holly with the ribbons started out as a sparkly white holly leaves and berries from a holiday banner. I saved it and am recycling it here. I tried to ink it with the green but it only lightly took the ink. But the sparkles are still there and I like the lighter green for a little contrast.

This is gorgeous Pat! You did an excellent job inking the holly and berries without going into the negative space (like I do-sigh). Your friend will love this gorgeous wintry birthday card! ~Karen.

Love your sprightly holly! You coloured it so well! I really like the way the ribbon is folded behind your holly embellishment. Reminds me of those holiday broaches everyone always got to wear on their coats at Christmas! Great card!

This is so perfect for a December birthday, and so great that you could re-use something rather than waste it! Love the embossed image and I agree the lighter green with sparkles is so perfect!
