The sketch called for a center focus element with a sentiment below. I thought my 2004 Stampin' Up "Window on the World" would be a great 3D focus point for the sketch.
The window stamping was done with Early Expresso on Crumb Cake cardstock. It was cut out with an Exacto Knife, and a whole in the Nordic Noel patterned paper was cut slightly larger than the window opening.
I dry embossed a scrap of Whisper White cardstock using the Softly Falling folder and glued it behind the DSP paper cutout. Then put adhesive foam strips all around the window and mounted it over the opening.
Because the view out the "window" had white falling snow, I stamped the window stamp once again on Whisper White using black ink, then lightly watercolored the "curtain" in the window with Pool Party ink using the Aqua Painter. After it dried, I cut it out with an Exacto Knife and mounted it in the top of the window using foam strips.
The wreath was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink onto Mossy Meadow card stock, then hand cut out. I roughed the edges to look more like greenery using a hole punch. The wreath was stamped once again onto Real Red cardstock using Real Red ink, and hand cut out using a scissors. It was mounted onto the wreath over the top of its green version using adhesive foam strips. The wreath was finished by filling in the ornaments using Dazzling Details Cherry Cobbler liquid glitter, then left over night to dry before I mounted it in the window using adhesive strips and mini glue dots.
Finally, the sentiment was stamped on a strip of Real Red cardstock, then a "buckle" frame was cut out using the Scalloped Tag Punch. I re-inserted the square end of the punched tag into the punch to create the scalloped end on the formerly square end so the punched cardstock looked like a buckle. The long sides of the buckle were trimmed off to the middle of the first side scallop so it was size-appropriate to surround the red strip. The assembly was trimmed to width and glued to the front panel using liquid glue.
Finally, the front panel was glued to the Real Red card base to finish it off.

I think this is a super take on the sketch. I love the focal image of the window with the Christmas wreath. The pretty paper is just super too. Thanks so much for playing along with 52CCT this week! Deborah, DT.
