Create with Connie and Mary Color Challenge #426: http://www.createwithconnieandmary.com/ which required the use of three colors: Tangerine Tango, Smokey Slate, and Dapper Denim.
My card took some time, but wasn't a technical challenge despite the various methods and steps required. I first heat embossed the Flowering Flourish design onto watercolor paper, then using the three challenge colors did a watercolor wash with my Aqua Painter. Details on how to do the wash can be found on Rita's web page linked above. Her suggestion to tape down your over-sized watercolor paper using Washi tape helped me control the watercolor wash better.
I used Rita's suggestion of "speckles" to give added interest by stamping with the Gorgeous Grunge spatter stamp. I think this gave extra character to the design.
The two dragonflies were heat embossed using silver embossing powder so they flowed off the edges of the paper. The watercolor paper was trimmed to 5"x 3.75" to omit the "blank" areas where the Washi tape had covered during the initial "wash" step,
The watercolor panel was glued onto a 5.25"x 4" panel of Tangerine Tango, which was in turn glued on to the Smokey Slate card base.
The sentiment from the Petite Pairs stamp set was heat embossed with silver embossing powder onto a Tangerine Tango scrap, then cut out with the smallest Layering Ovals Framelits die, and backed with Smokey Slate scalloped oval from the same die set.
I chose to cut off the left side of the sentiment stack to further emphasize the oval then of the dragonflies' wings when I glued it to the left margin of the panel.
The card can be used as a get well or forgiveness/apology themed card.

What a lovely card! Using the orange and blue for your colour wash is a great way to tone down these bold colours to enable your dragonflies to really stand out. Thanks for joining us over at Create With Connie and Mary this week!
