The real birthday card for Nancy. Now that she has received it, I can post it to my gallery.
The background that I started with needs a little explanation, so here goes... I had emptied a large bag of frozen mixed berries, and there was all this lovely juice clinging to the inside of the bag. Naturally, I got a sheet of watercolor paper and slid it inside. I thought the color and patterns (from seeds that remained in the bag) were perfect for building on.
Stamped the flourish with VesaMark and embossed with clear ep. Applied acrylic paint through the TCW Mini Specimens stencil, and blackberry Ferro paste through another TCW stencil, which I don't know the name of. The rays were made by spraying shimmer mist through a TH stencil. Don't ask what the gold is; I THINK it's Perfect Pearls.
The sentiment was stamped on vellum and die cut with an MFT stitched banner die. I attached it to the background piece with a small strip of Sookwang tape along the edge, and die cut the piece with a Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle die before attaching it to a 110 lb card base.
I'd like to say I started with a plan, but we all know that just isn't me. It came together one layer at a time, with me deciding the next step after looking at it for hours (or days, LOL!). But I'm very pleased with the final result.
As always, Thanks for looking!

This is definitely a WOW card and as the proud recipient, I can't tell you how much texture and sheen is on this! Starting with berry juice is brilliant! You always were one to be original. This is one, outstanding mixed media work of art!
