I loved watching Dina's tutorial the other day on palette blending and though I didn't use the specific technique, I think I learned a lot about shading. I love the vintage watercolor look where you stamp in a water based brown ink, I used Soft Suede here, and then watercolor in other colors. I used watercolor pencils here and then activated the colors with an Aqua pen. After I had done several layers of coloring and drying. I added the blue bg and then used markers to add back in some detail to the stamping.
Today's Free for All is to use a direct to paper technique. I watched Lydia's tutorial and really learned a lot even though it's a technique I've used before. I took a piece of white and scored the lines and then used the indented side for the technique. I wanted to get some of the orange tones of the coloring so I used Saffron and Cajun Craze in addition to my usual browns. I went a little overboard with the white at the end and lost a lot of that warmth. I cut my watercolored piece and added photo corners in Chocolate Chip using a base of the same.

Outstanding. Love the background you created. The soft stamping and lighter green colors is so pretty. Nicely done! It's great to learn a lot from projects and tutorials. TFS
