The vellum was attached to the black card base using glue dots behind several of the snowflakes so they wouldn't show through.
Both the star and sentiment elements were created using Versamark ink with silver embossing powder that was heated to created the sparkling silver look. Both elements were backed with two additional die cuts which were glued on using Tombow Liquid Glue to strengthen them so they would bow/cup due to the heavy embossing. The star was embossing using a larger stamp, then die cut to the smaller size I wanted the star to be... just center the smaller die exactly inside the larger embossed piece when cutting.
The star was attached using glue dots, and the sentiment element was raised using foam dimensionals.
The horizontal rhinestone element was placed across the bottom of the sentiment element, and since that had been raised with foam, each of the rhinestones that were beyond the boundary of the circle were stacked two deep on the card base to raise them up level with the horizontal row of rhinestones atop the circle so all the rhinestones were at the same height above the card base.
Rhinestones were sprinkled to the top left and lower right from the main layout elements per the sketch design.
Slowly, but surely, I'm building up my Christmas cards to send to relatives and friends this year. This sketch just seemed to scream 'Christmas' to me, so I appreciated the inspiration!
