Have been wanting to make a Christmas card in non-traditional colors for awhile now, but never seem to get around to it. This week's CAS, WT and FS challenges gave me the push I needed to just do it!
I was inspired by this fun card by Jen. Loved the fun trees and the great colors. I changed mine to a square card, used fewer colors and did some paper piecing on my trees. I also opted for a different position for my sentiment.
This also works with this week's CAS challenge - Christmas in July as well as this week's Ways to Use It Challenge. For my card I have 2 raspberry trees and 2 aqua trees in my design.
Recipe:
Die cut the tree line in white c/s. Stamped the image on 3 DSPs. Cut the entire line in the aqua and just 2 of the trees and the heart in the raspberry. Cut the trunks from a scrap of brown DSP. Paper pieced. Added my sentiment and assembled the card. Added Wink of Stella to the heart, and some small white sequins to the trees.
TFL!
