I really wanted to use foil, but have no laminating machine so I decided to see if a technique I used several years ago would work with the foil. I inked up the snowflake stamp in versamark ink, then poured Heat & Stick Power over the versamark, heated briefly with a heat tool until wet looking, then apply the foil over the stamped image and heat until set. Than I ran this foiled panel thru my die cutting machine with the foil still on to give a better press. Removed the excess foil and voila! It worked! I repeated this process for the 2nd snowflake, then added the sentiment using WOW gold glitter embossing powder. Added a few sequins and a narrow gold strip of glitter cardstock for a finishing touch. I was so tickled this old technique worked with the foiling.

love this card layout... I am going to be getting a group of ladies together next month to make cards and I think I may use your card idea as one of the cards to make! TFS!

SO glad to hear that worked! I have a little foil but like, you, no laminator. Thanks for describing your process! Now I have to try this. Love the red snowflakes for a refreshing change on them!

Oh, wow! I am so glad to see this gorgeous card and to read how you've achieved the foil look without the machine (and having to have a laser printer). I LOVE it and think it's so beautiful and sparkling! Stunning Christmas card, and I am going to pin and fave this (and perhaps try it myself). Thanks for sharing the details. It's so helpful! Hugs!
