Loved the colors this week! I tried to do pink carnations embossed with pink ep, but the pink ep was too light. So, it looked more like clear. Anyway the embossing did capture the color in the bg, so I sponged over it with perfect plum ink. By the way, the background was made with water coloring perfect plum and regal rose. I also sponged gray ink around the edges, although, it doesn't really show up. I stamped all over with itty bitty backgrounds in perfect plum. The flowers looked way to dark to me, an I was very unhappy with my card, so I got a small brush and some white acrylic paint and added highlights everywhere. Then the card started coming together. I water colored some more paper, stamped it with the itty bitty backgrounds, and cut my sentiment. I used gray cs for the back layer and the label. I also outlined the sentiment and the strip across the bottom with white acrylic paint. Once it was finished I really liked the outcome.
Thanks for looking!

Using the white acrylic paint was genius! I love the look of your carnations! Your background has so much interest in it from the stamping and layers of colour. Wonderful card!

Oh, pretty! The background is so creative & unique and your carnations are amazing. I like the die-cut words matching the background. The white splatter adds just the right touch. Well done. TFS
