For the Mix-ability challenge "Beachy News" - to include text and beach colours / beach images.
I used a piece of sandpaper for the bottom beach section, die cut the seashells and sponged them with various Distress inks. The sea was made by tearing one edge of a piece of coated cs and then sprinkling with blue bister and spritzing. Once dry, I stamped a few bits of text by inking up the text stamp with white gesso (it's hard to see but it is there - upper right and lower left) and stamped the sentiment with archival ink.

Beautiful! I thought you'd done the text as an emboss resist before the bister, but I see not; it looks great. What a great color of sandpaper, it almost looks like one of those volcanic sands....

Brilliant idea to use sandpaper for a beach! Also great to know that Archival ink dries on coated cardstock! Love the bister background, Susan! Beautifully done!

Wow! That shabby torn edge really mimics the push of the wave. I love that sentiment too. I really wish I had some sand and a shell right now. Thanks for your beautiful entry in the Mix challenge!
