I am a bird watcher, and I also love to go to the zoo......any zoo, anytime. When I am free to do anything I want, I sit on my side porch and watch the bird feeders and birdbaths we have in our yard. When we travel, the first thing I check out is the location of zoos!!
I started with a soft ink wash. I used the feathers to represent both the birds and zoos, and the hearts are part of the feathers!

This is a stunning CAS card....people think this is an easy style, but I have never made a good CAS card. The color, image choice, and placement are sooo important to making a beautiful CAS card, and you aced all 3. The light watercolor wash bg is lovely. Faved.

Really, Anne? I LOVE the zoo.....I've been a zillion times and have seen some truly amazing things and tell the stories all the time. My fave (I jsut have to tell it) was many years ago in Vancouver watching a little 'monkey' (I can't remember exactly what it was) showing off for a crowd of people on his rings and monkey bars and he missed grabbing a bar and fell down. The little guy (I am NOT making this up) crawled into a corner and after one last look at the crowd covered his face and turned to the wall in shame!!! I have NEVER forgotten that.
Oh yeah......your card is lovely.....lol!!!!
