I punched out the scalloped border and assembled my base layer with the ribbon tucked under on each side. I stamped and layered the sentiment, popping it up on dimensionals. I carefully unravelled the gray strand from the baker's twine and made the tassel out of the white strands. I cut out a grad hat, threaded the tassel through it with a needle and covered that spot with a sequin. To make the diploma I colored the edges of a piece of Whisper White CS with an orange pencil crayon, wrote the name on it, rolled it up tightly using a skewer and glued it shut. I then used the gray strand from the baker's twine to tie around it. I positioned them and the star on the sentiment layer, using a glue dot to keep the tassel in place and added the sequins. I cased this card on one I saw on Pinterest by Stasia Sloma of Stampin' and Scrapin' with Stasia.

What an absolutely fabulous sentiment - just perfect for your graduation card! I like the little details like the scalloped edged and the black mat under the paper. Good interpretation of our sketch. Thanks for joining us again at As You See It.

What a perfect graduation card! I love the bright colours, reminding one of the bright future for a recent grad. I love the little touch of the name on the diploma and your hand cut mortar board. This is a great take on our sketch at As You See It Challenges. Thanks for playing along!
