This will be an anniversary card for my sister and BIL. I made the blue bg using Red Lead inks...put a few drops on a craft sheet and spritzed with water then dragged the paper through it. I also did this for the green used for the tree. I stenciled a design on the blue using some distress ink.

I'm glad you enjoyed the challenge!
We certainly had a wide variety of reading material - for example, I can remember my mother reading us Hawthorne's Tanglewood Tales and all the Greek myths and legends, along with the Iliad & the Odyssey and Don Quixote in children's versions when she read to us all at bedtime.
I love your bright happy colours, that aqua blue circle is absolutely beautiful. I love the pop of pink from the heart. It's an adorable anniversary card.

Polly I love the colors on the BG for the tree and the blue sky! Love the owls and the great colors on them. Darling card that I am sure your sister and BIL will just love.

What a fun card, Polly! Love the vibrant colors you achieved with smooshing technique! The variation of greens in the tree looks terrific and those owls are just too cute!
