Follow the Yellow Brick Road to your Dreams, and embrace the journey along the way!
I know I'm a bit early...the kettle's not even boiling yet...but I have a busy week ahead and I didn't want to miss the party.
Thanks for the fun challenge!
This brick embossing folder comes in handy all the time. I pulled out my old 'Dreams and Dragons' set to represent Emerald City and I used the Spotlight Technique to represent how the start of the movie was in black and white,. I used the colours from last weeks challenge...I thought it worked quite nicely...and I hadn't put everything away yet...ha! Kinda cheaty-perfect??!!
This reminds me of my little niece, who is now in her early 20's. She used to love, love, LOVE this movie, and watched it a few times a week. Once when were were over, she was whimpering and crying in front of the TV. I went to see what was wrong, and she was scared of the flying monkeys...it scared her, but she couldn't pull herself away. Funny.
Thanks for looking!

This is adorable! Your castle is perfect to represent the Emerald City and I love the design of the yellow brick road in front and the field of flowers spotlighted behind the castle.
Lovely! Great idea to use the brick EF for the yellow brick road! It is a really sweet card, oh, and my kids were alway scared of the bad witch when they were younger.

Great card for the challenge, I love so many things about it. The colored image cut out over a non colored one, the brick road, the castle, the sentiment!
Wow!

I love the way you incorporated different elements of the film, Claudia! Spotlighting was a cool way to reference the black & white to colour transition, and the fairytale castle is a great stand-in for the Emerald City. And of course the yellow brick is perfect.
