This is my card for mixability challenge #169 earth day and the F4A322 mother earth challenge. I used water for my element, watercoloring the image with distress inks. I did a bunch of recycling on this card. The background is a piece of corrugated cardboard, swiped with acrylic paint. The flower is stamped on a used (and rinsed) coffee filter. After coloring the image, I flicked some white paint on it. The vintage butterfly is made from paper bag. The antennae is hemp twine dipped in UTEE a couple of times to get that ball on the ends. I picked up the lace at Good Will yesterday. I did some cross stitches around the image with crochet cotton.

OMG Melody, if there was a creativity award, you earned it with this recycled beauty. That butterfly looks amazing, and I love the stitching and lace. The corrigated piece makes such a nice bg. Faved.

Wow, this is an amazing creation! Love all the textures and the look of the flower colored with distress inks. How clever of you to add the cross stitches to hold down the filter and carry that pretty green color to the rest of the card. Very cool! TFS
