I am playing in my craft room again! Yay! My sweet SCS friend Kathy sent me a small amount of powders to play with and see if I want make the major purchase. The first ones I used too much dark, because I love blues and greens! But I decided to use it anyway, as I am behind on my Christmas card goal. So what I did was wet down my watercolor paper with a brush and water. Then I sprinkled the powders on to thickly, I think! After it dried, I stamped and embossed on top of the color bust bg. I think that is something else I did wrong. Maybe stamp and heat emboss, then do the color burst? Or does it matter? I didn't want to waste any of the bg, so I layered the one on another. I have some lighter color backgrounds drying now. I used small and large snowflakes so it could also be for the Mix-ability Challenge.
Thank you for looking.

I don't think it matters which way you do it... I've done both. And I think there's definitely a learning curve but I was able to use all my practice pieces up on cards. I really like the deep rich colours, they're great for Christmas.

Very pretty Sharon..love those blues and greens. I think the white embossing looks really nice on that and I agree with Sabrina...I don't think it matters which you do first.

I've done the image both ways with my Brushos (very similar) - heat embossed first as an emboss resist or heat embossed on top of a background pieces I've already done. They work equally well. I love the snowflakes and sentiment against the dark background.

Wow! Great job with the colorburst. I have just tried mine a couple of times. I need to practice more, lol. This turned out great! Nice white embossing on this and thanks for the inspiration.
