I stamped this image the other day and coloured him with pencils while talking with my dad on the phone.
Last night I was looking through my box of scrap backgrounds, and this piece of crumpled distressed map has been there for quite a while. I stamped and embossed the sentiment, and added the image panel layered up on Bazzill and finished off with twine and eyelets. I drew an arrow border all round the map.
The red arrows on the card are in memory of a time we once got lost up in the mountains in Crete. It must have changed now with almost universal GPS, but back then, decent maps were practically classified documents, and even the best of the three maps we had didn't help us. What saved us that day was following red waymarks painted on stones at any junction, and by following them we made it back to civilisation. Not without wondering if there was enough petrol in the tank - and being glad that we had something suitable for a bit of cross country!!

Such a delightful trip back in time to a great memory - the crumpled old map, the stitching around the edges, the arrows, and that adorable PB bear - all make this such an endearing card!

I would love to "go shopping" in your box of scrap backgrounds....like Mary Poppins, everything that you pull out of there is fantastic. This crumpled map is perfect with your adorable little guy and the meaningful sentiment. You also usually have wonderful adventures to go with your great art work. I am feeling a little dull and boring.
