when you are having flies...I do not know the name of this 1998 Stampin' UP! set (if anyone does, I'd love to add it). It was one I found at the Goodwill. And for such a day as this, Wendy's F4A319 Challenge "One plus One". One color and one neutral. I might have artistically interpreted this one...hues of one color. My lovely froggie lady is all greened up with shades of Copics. I needed a Stazon green to be able to stamp on the acetate. And the vintage green seam binding is yet another green hue.
Speaking of that seam binding, it came from some tag sale all wrapped on it's original card with the green .25 cent sticker. I wanted to use it as it was green and also because it reminded me of Minnie Pearl's hat she would always wear with the price sticker still hanging from it.
If you've never seen her perform, take a moment to listen to this YouTube video: . She was a true original. Never afraid to put her art out there.
So that's what I'm doing with this simple card...hope it brings a smile to you today.
This card is also for the MIX166 though rereading the challenge, I see I 'toad'ally mixed the components up. It is mixed media though...grin.

What a terrific image! I love that you colored just the frog -she's such a standout, and what a great find! The price tag on the ribbon is too funny - and most definitely reminiscent of Minnie Pearl.
HOWDY!!

This is so cute and fun! I love the shades of green (there wasn't anything I the MIX rules that said it had to be just one shade). The greens just pop in the gallery.

Aw this is a darling card. The price tag, oh my, that's a great image of Minnie Pearl. The color and stamp are PERFECT, it works so well for the toad-ally awesome find at Goodwill. Great job and thanks for sharing.

Your mind is so artistic. Awesome how you take anything and turn it into a life lesson. Totally love how you added the tag. Being yourself is the best, since we are all unique. TFS
