I decided to try my hand at watercolor since I was inspired by so many talented painters on SCS. I followed this wonderful tutorial by Kristina Werner. I needed a sympathy card for a dear friend. I chose an image that did not need a lot of painting. After painting the background, I heat embossed the image in white and added color to the blossoms. The sentiment is an RAK from Sallie. Thanks Sallie! Thanks for stopping by.
I am also entering this in Bonnie and Loll's CAS Mix-Up Challenge here. Join the fun there!

This is lovely....that soft bg is so pretty for the pink flowers. You did a great job of watercoloring this. So sorry you had the need to make it though.

Your trademark "softness" comes through - just like in all your other wonderful cards, Nancy! Love this technique, using the embossed outline to hold in the "pools" of watercolor paint!! Your faint colored BG makes the most soothing sympathy card - Nice font on that sentiment - another "treasure"!

What a lovely image Nancy and I just love the painting you did on your bg, so sweet and soft and your flowers are lovely with the extra color added. Love your pretty sympathy and I know whoever receives it will love it too!!!
