I had these geese picked out and ready to stamp for our Alphabet letter 'G' challenge, and then Dani threw a curve at us and challenged us to use a technique starting with the letter 'g'. After perusing the tutorial section, I decided on the gesso resist, a technique that was new to me. I chose a page from a Dutch cooking magazine. the page was featuring condiments for a curry dish, hence the circles that yo can see peaking through. I cut the page to 5 1/4 X 4 inches, and covered it with two thin coats of gesso. Let it dry overnight and then stamped the silhouette stamps......a flower, reeds, and grass with versamark and embossed with clear ep.I then sponged with SU pool party and followed that with a sponging of SU Handsome Hunter green. The geese were stamped with Memento Tuxedo black and coloured with copics. I also added a little puddle of water by hand and the raindrops were stamped in grey. Image was die cut and a dark green die cut mat was added. All was mounted on a matching dark green base. Three little black brads finish it off........I didn't have any green brads.

Outstanding. I have not worked with gesso yet. Love your geese. I think the black brads work on this, because your sentiment is stamped in black. Thanks for giving all the details on this.
Beautiful, beautiful, Ina! You are so creative! Love your flowers on the bg and your geese! Lots of Gs on here including the fact that it is a "Get well card". Love it!

Great! Good card for Letter G. Love the cute geese. Your Gesso technique is outstanding; the circles add a nice touch. You assembled a wonderful card. TFS
