This card is for the QKR Stampede to recycle something and for the Free 4 All - Reading Recommendations. I hate to admit that this could be considered cheating just a little. Gasp. I was very ill in 1995 and I found comfort in reading Chicken Soup for the Christian Soul. I read it a lot, I needed all the uplifting I could get. When this challenge matched my card so well, I thought it was meant to be. Please don't send the challenge police knocking on my door.

I love this! I'm so glad this fit for you because it's adorable! No challenge here I'm sure (she smiles). The sentiment reminds me of what my mother use to tell us when we were acting up, "It's all good until someone starts crying!" Mom's are always right!

Grins, I made chicken soup last weekend when I was finally starting to feel better. That straw background makes the perfect setting for your under-the-weather chicken.

Love this Shirley!! Super cute image and the whole card is wonderful and funny! I hate that you were so ill in 1995, but I am glad that you had that book and God there with you to help you. I think I need to get that book. Many hugz to you sweet friend - miss you.

Love the "tongue in cheek" humor on this card - goes perfectly with the look on this poor chicken's face! Recycling labels, bows, and other "embellishments" means we all have a lot of "trash" in our stash, but you sure know how to use it so well! The straw BG paper and how it all stands out with the red and black layering is phenomenal!!
Chicken Soup for the Christian Soul is a great book - I am so glad it helped you through a tough time in your life!!
