This is my Design Team card for the brand new challenge CAS Mix Up. The challenge is being run by Bonnie (bon2stamp) and me ... our first challenge runs Mar. 1 - 24. The theme is watercolouring.
CAS Mix Up is all about CAS design, but also including a little bit of mixed media products or techniques. My card today uses acetate smooshing for the background. I die-cut leaf sprigs and flowers, sponged around the edges for added interest, and then shaped them with my stylus and mat to create dimension. Easy and fun to do!
I hope you'll check out our new challenge and play along.

Fantastic job on the branch and blossoms! Love the soft backgrounds you create using this method, one I have not tried. You never have your background overpowering your focal and that's not always easy to do. Beautifully done, Loll.

Gorgeous card, Ms. Loll. I'm all dialed up into your brand new challenge w/Bonnie. Unfortunately, I'll be on vacation this Friday and will be gone 13 days. I'll be playin' with the big guns when I return. Can wait to see what you two come up with as CAS mixed media.
