This week the watercolor wednesday challenge was to use pacific point, mint macaron, tempting turquoise, perfect plum and silver. You can see more samples for this interesting color combination here: http://watercoolerchallenges.blogspot.com/
I started out with a card base in mint macaron with silver dots from the Cottage Greetings Card Kit. Also from the kit came the focal image and the silver foil. (If I had not messed up my stamping, I would have used the focal piece from the kit; since I did stamp badly, I had to cut out another piece of white and cut out the recolored flowers.) I just made my colors match the challenge. Not too hard and not too ugly.
Thanks for looking. Susie

Love the way you used items from the kit for this challenge, especially that silver-dotted Mint Macaron card base. Thanks for joining the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge!

Susie, what a clever way to fix a bad job of stamping. Thinking on your feet. Had you not said anything, it would be impossible to tell. Using the items from the Cottage Greetings Card Kit was an inspiration. What luck that they included the Mint Macaron and that it was dotted in silver. Great use of the banners in the background for the colours. Thanks for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

Wonderful to know the full story behind the card and the cut out flowers. Just looking at the picture I was trying to figure out where the beautiful flowers came from. I'm impressed with your cutting as well as the wonderful use of my ring's colors. I love that cottage greetings kit and now I see I'm going to have to add another to my next order so I can just play with the pieces! Thanks for that incentive. Brave girl too to press on and finish your concept to the end. It's beautiful.
Thanks too for joining in the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week. I look forward to seeing your entries and your twist on our challenges.
'not too ugly' - are you kidding? This card is gorgeous, Susie! I love how you cut the flowers; I thought you were just showing off your mad fussy-cutting skills, and the extra layer adds an extra 'wow' to your card. Love the multi coloured banners and silver dots. So glad you joined us at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge! ~Deborah
