This is my sample for CC569. Karen is our hostess and she chose watermelon wonder, lost lagoon and old olive for her color trio.
For my card I wanted to use the flower patch stamp set as well as the picture perfect for the hummingbird image. I had my card idea but I couldn't get it to translate to paper the way I wanted.
Plus there is a bit of a learning curve with the 3 step stamping on the hummingbird. All that to say I am a bit frustrated with my card this week.
Anyway, my background stamp is the SU hardwood stamp set and I stamped in smoky slate. The flowers are from the SU flower patch set.
My hummer is stamped and fussy cut. Added some lost lagoon ribbon to complete this card.
Hope you can play along with us this week. Karen has chosen some great colors and the DT has some awesome samples for inspiration.

Mary, I'm sorry you had a bit of frustration, but I think your card turned out great! The hummer is wonderful, great flowers and background, and I love that sweet little double bow you created! This is a lovely card!

I think your card is fantastic Mary!!! I love the way you've used the colors. The red on your hummingbird's neck pairs up nicely with your flowers. Your ribbon and bow are terrific embellishments. You did a great job!!

Oh, Mary, it's gorgeous, and it just pops out of the gallery! I love the layout and your gorgeous flowers, and the hummer is perfect! Just love him (or her) hovering! And your ribbon is a perfect finishing touch! Hugs!
