This card will be going to my 2 DGS's (Mom will like it better than them), for they are the ones that gifted me the wooden hearts. But this is the perfect way to show them I love them, and that I have used what they have given to me.
There were some lessons learned with the making of this card. First, make the depth of the shaker part to fit what goes inside (I thought I had it right, but some of the hearts and beads got stuck, so they no longer shake), second, no matter what anyone tells you, liquid pearls will not hold their shape. Though you cannot see it here, the little dots of liquid pearls did in fact flatten some, so they are no longer rounded on top.
I die cut the love about 4 or 5 times, using the wood veneer on top.
All that said, I am happy with how this turned out. The boys will never know, nor will their Mom, she'll just be happy to see that I used the gift.
Edited to add: I got the wood veneer paper at my LSS. In checking with her primary vendor, I see they don't carry it. I do however see that Frantic Stamper carries it. And it is self adhesive. As to places on the east coast, it's just a matter of checking with each seller.

It was a thoughtful gift on their part to a card creating grandmother....and as you said, they will see how much you enjoyed putting their gift into the sweet shaker valentine. I appreciate your tips on making shaker cards, Jennifer. I did one and the bits mostly wanted to stick to the sides of the adhesive foam that I used to give the shaker depth....never did one again.

Jennifer, your GD's will love this and so will your mom. I've never attempted a shaker card. Thanks for sharing those tips. Great card using your 5 times cut sentiment and your bg.

Fabulous card! This will be a real joy to receive! Love the woodsy bg on the heart and all the little wood hearts too. The beads and pearls add such a nice touch. Super shaker card!
