I needed one more masculine card to add to a pack I was making to give to a good friend. Found this ribbon that I've had for many years. I don't usually do very well with macho cards but I loved the gold chain on the darker colors of the ribbon and figured anything with a chain is good for a guy card...even if it is embroidered. Then, just to be on the safe side, I added the male butterfly . I would love to give credit to whoever makes this butterfly die but it's several years old and I've lost all it's credentials and am at a lose as to who makes it. It came as a set of 3...all about the same size but a little different. If anyone knows, I would appreciate it if you could let me know. Thanks for looking.

Here you are, my friend. I am so happy to see back in your craft studio. Just look at what you did! yikes, this is one incredible macho card I've ever seen. You do macho so well even if you're claiming this to be a male BF. Now how the heck can u tell if it's male or female? You are too much, girl. What you've created here is wonderful even if you went a little overboard w/trying to convince me this is a male BF. If you prove me wrong, you know I'll be embarrassed like no tomorrow. Hugs. C'mon back now, hear?

Wow, wow, wow how fabulous does this look!!! Pinned and faved my friend, I love everything about this. This rich colour of the ribbon looks terrific and gold chain and butterfly look amazing. I think I have these butterflies, back soon with the brand (if they are the same).

Susie....thanks for checking. I really appreciate it! I use this butterfly so often that every time I scroll through cards on Pinterest I'm keeping my eyes open for butterflies, counting all the little round holes on the edges of the top wings (seven on each) and then looking for the hammered look of the body of the male butterfly. ;) I'm sure it will turn up somewhere and they will list the maker.

Oh my, Ellen, what an fabulous card, and I love that it's appropriate for a guy! You and Anne have me giggling about whether it's a male or female butterfly. And Susie (my DD sis) is right that it feels like a chat thread! What a precious community we have here, don't we? Just love how we love on each other! So no matter whether the gender, I love this butterfly - it's gorgeous in gold too. And what a wonderful piece of ribbon with the gold "chain" over it! I love it! Hugs, sweet friend!
