This is the Melted Crayon Technique. The dark paper is what I did on purpose. The paper with the white background was the paper I put on the ironing board to protect it. I noticed it looked like a looming storm and made some cards with it too.

This is such a wonderful card. I don't remember the Kansas storms as I was 4 when we came to Idaho but I do remember the windmills and the storys. Your card brought back the memories so vividly. Where did you get the windmill? If anyone finds one, I'd like to buy one! It would be great for my scrapbooking our Kansas days. "Thanks for the memories!"

The windmill is a Stampabilities stamp. It is at Hobby Lobby here in Texas. It is called "Vintage Windmill" #D1028, copyright 2002. It has an address on the block: 7717 SW 44th Street; Oklahoma City, OK 73179
