For Janelle's Faulty Fun MIX challenge today. A perfect chance to use up my failed Faux Fresco from the other day. I'd sanded so much colour off in parts that I had already cut it into strips to get rid of the really bad parts, and it was sitting on my desk. Click on the link for Lydia's tutorial...
I found some fancy DP and stitched the strips on. Then I stitched a frame - another hopefully hidden fault line there as my bobbin ran out part way along the scratchy-bird-tracks bottom line, and it's almost impossible to figure out how to match those patterned stitches up.
The word is cut from corrugated card.
The bird was stamped on an old book page and sponged, with piecing to add clean eyes and a glossy beak. I rarely use sequins, but I thought they looked good here so I added a few.

Sabrina I love how you are able to salvage pieces of stuff to create such fun cards! The print on your crazy bird is so super fun too! Super stunning card and the added stitching is so perfect.

Great card, Sabrina! Love the newsprint bird and his coloring. As well, the strips and stitched border look awesome! Great card. I'm still out on what exactly a fault line on a card is. Hee.

Super cute, I love the stitched pieces and your cute crazy bird. I love those stamps. I have got to make a card with one someday soon. I have been thinking that for about 3 months. LOL

Failed faux.....that would make it faux faux LOL. Sabrina thus is so arty and fabulous!! I love the texture and the subtle colours on the background. Your bird looks suitably dramatic in his great colours and book page stamping. Love every inch of this my friend.

Love this card - it has stitching, sequins and a crazy bird in gorgeous colors! The faux fresco strips created a great background for the die cut. Awesome!
