I accomplished the embossing opposite what the tutorial instructed. The clouds are depressed (instead of raised) and heat embossed with white embossing powder then water colored around the cloud.

Fab sky! And I love the bird holding his little bouquet of flowers. I'm interested to know, if the clouds are debossed, how you managed to add the embossing powder to act as a resist? It gives a great effect.

I patted my versamark pad onto the raised side of the embossing folder, loaded the right side of the paper onto that side and ran it through my big shot. Then took it out and poured embossing powder into each cloud 'well'. Once heat embossed, I painted in and around the clouds. Some of the clouds didn't get completely coated with the embossing powder so I just avoided the inside of those with my distress ink while the rest of them resisted the color ;)
