I have always loved this verse Isaiah 6:8. "Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me."
So when I read it January 16th in My Utmost For His Highest Journal, I was finally inspired to begin my Bible Journaling. I am not doing it in my Bible, though, but in my journal. I have had this for years and never wrote in it although that is what it is for! So, now I am.
So for my first Bible journal page, it was a trial and error. First I would like to say putting the Gesso on the page, really works! Nothing shows through on the back of this page. Second, I don't like my writing, no matter how I tried to do lettering, it went wrong. So I used stickers, except where I did the song, So I Send You. I did that because when I read this verse, I want to sing it! The first time I heard this song 30 years or so ago in a Missions conference, I just loved it. Anyway, this verse and that song go together in my mind. So I tried water color and idn't like the way it looked. I can't believe this page ever got dry, but it did! So I sprayed the whole page with gold glitter spray and IRL it really shines. I stampped the cross from Verve, nd the music note from Su!, and added a few gold stickrs. That is my first try. At least the page means something to me, and I think that is the idea. Thanks for looking.

Sharon, this is great! I can see some sparkles. A great page of inspiration and introspection. I like that line......'As long as I consider my personal temperament and think about what I am fitted for, I shall never hear the call of God.'

Oh Sharon, I agree with the others- this is fabulous!! I love the use of the stamps along with your hand lettering plus I can see the sparkles as well!! We all tend to be overly critical of ourselves but with Bible Journaling, it is between you and the Lord and growing closer to Him! Thanks for sharing and I love it!!
