I'm very excited to share this Brayer's technique easel box with you! It's a "Get-Well" cookie gift box I made for an elderly neighbor of mine, Pam who is recovering from a recent fall. It is also my GDT project for this week challenge over at TTCRD.
I apologize if the photo quality seem poor. It was taken late the night before my photo submission due to the TTCRD coordinator. I ran into a time pickle while putting the tutorials together along the way.
Quick summary. I first cut and score to create this 4x5 size box. Then wrapped a black cardstock around for the cover. I folded the top, the lid part in half to create the easel. I then used the Speedball brayer to ink the soft peachy ink (Versa Magic Pixie Dust) on the back of the cover of the Sizzix Lattice embossing folder, placed a piece of white cardstock on, carefully closed the cover down and crank through my Big Shot machine. The image is Lady Kathleen by the lovely sponsor Sandi's Samples. I colored her with copic. She reminded me of Audrey Hepburn in the horse racing scene of the My Fair Lady movie. But I colored in the R000 & R11 to coordinate with the Pixie Dust ink on the Lattice embossed design.

Oh, Christina, this is gorgeous, and I just love this beautiful box and the brayered/embossed "cover" for it. And what a beautiful cover with this lovely and classy gal. She truly does remind me of Audrey Hepburn in "My Fair Lady." Oh, I love that movie! I have to hop over to your blog and read your tutorial. This is definitely pinned and faved for this week! Hugs, sweet friend! So glad you are enjoying (and doing so well) on the DT!
