... my salted background is a failure! I can barely see where the salt was - how can I expect you to see it? I used sea salt, would that make a difference? Oh well...
I did my watercolor wash with simple watercolor paint, added sea salt & spritzed. I was impatient & used a heat gun to 'cure'. Stamped my image & tried to shadow stamp the sentiment. I have to say, better luck next time & I will try this again ... I think!!

The salt DID leave a texture and it's pretty, Karen. Would not call this one a failure at all! I can see the shadow stamping, not easy to do but you created one. Terrific job on a difficult technique!

your card is lovely. The softness of your background fit the theme of your card perfectly. All salts give an effect but all are different. Thank you for trying out the challenge. I hope you will try again sometime. the shadow behind your sentiment is awesome!
