Made the background several years ago (I never toss anything) when I first discovered alcohol inks. It finally found a home with my plain, solid eggplant stamp, on which which I added the faces. I used distress pens on the rubber, spritzed it, then stamped it. Blended the colors, and added more with a watercolor brush. Added some pen details as tried to lighten the eyeballs with a colored pencil.

Ha ha, this is such a fun card! Love your title. I keep all my old backgrounds too, and try to remember to make the box full of them my first port of call. That polished stone leafy background makes a great fall setting for the crazy aubergines, as I know them.
p.s, as you used distress inks to colour the stamp, using a really fine brush and bleach should lift colour from the eyes.
