For Mary's challenge: Pink Thanks
WT: Use a Brush
I started by sponging the circles then added the leaf part of Sheltering Tree in the same color and sponged the edges. I cut the butterfly from Regal Rose and used a toothbrush to add white spatters (I've used the technique to add snow or stars but never in this way) then pearls. I stamped and cut a small thank you and stuck it on the butterfly and decided I didn't like it. Actually, I didn't like a sentiment anywhere on this card so I left it off. Thanks for stopping in today! ~Roberta

This is so pretty in pink. Love the background. Awesome job on that. The butterfly die-cut is amazing on it. Love the pearls. Very nicely done for HYCCT and WT challenges. TFS

Your card is so soft and pretty, Roberta. Love the pink color, the design/sponging and the gorgeous butterfly. I didn't like a sentiment on my card either. It will go inside!

It's all so soft and dainty that a strong sentiment would certainly take the eye away from the details in the butterfly and background - but maybe one stamped in pink wouldn't have been too dominant. I like the idea of spattering over the die-cut - it looks great. Something I'll have to remember to try myself...
