This is for challenge F4A295 - to use a drip technique. The two outside leaves were done with gelatos colored on a gessoed bristol surface, using a spray bottle to drip and move the watercolor around. The middle leaf was done by applying white acrylic paint on a gelli plate, adding SU! re-inker, and then pulling a number of prints on deli paper. They feel like real leaves - thin and delicate and crinkl-ey.
The veins of the leaves were done with the bare tree from SU!'s Sheltering Tree set. The leaves themselves were die cut with the current leaf framelit set. Ribbon is SU! lace. Corner rounder was the corner chomper. Leaves where drizzled with Ranger Stickles. Autumn small world is also Ranger.
I've decided that every year I want to have a tradition of making a unique leaf. This is my second year of making a leaf with a fun technique.
Thanks for looking!

I love the texture on that leaf. Thanks for pushing me to do a technique. I love the look of them...but rarely put in the effort to achieve them myself!

I like the variation of color you got with the gelatos and the shininess that the gesso gives them. Your middle leaf is such a pretty color and the stickles add a touch of fantasy...is there a tiny nymph hiding behind them? Great job using this technique with different mediums.
ps-Ich liebe Deutschland! Have fun ;)

How beautiful these leaves are, and how clever to use the bare tree to make the veins!!!
