My friend Libbie passionately loves purple so when I saw today's Free for All challenge, I decided I would make her birthday card now, even though her birthday isn't until January.
I combined it with the Mixability challenge "Just Drop It" - to use re-inkers. I patted a couple of mauve and purple ink pads on my craft sheet, spritzed lightly with water, then dropped some small droplets of purple re-inker and sprinkled some mauve perfect pearls on top. I pressed white cs onto it and then trimmed it down to use the nicest part of it. The perfect pearls add nice spots of shimmer but sadly they don't show in the photo.
I stamped with black archival ink. It made me realized yet again how great the MISTI is as my dragonfly stamp is wood-mounted and I didn't get a great impression (so might decide to unmount it).
I added narrow black and mauve borders, then a wider purple embossed border to pull out the darker purples in the focal panel, and used a mauve cardbase.

Not my favorite color either, Susan, but your card is gorgeous! I love the wonderful background you created. Your purple-loving friend is sure to treasure this.
