This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 551 - Blushing Saffron Pears, Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 554 - Watercolor those Diecuts, Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 3456 - CAS-ing HYCCT. Today I choose I AM A WARRIOR from the list as I was my mother's support during her 9 year battle of breast cancer that spread throughout her body. This is a difficult month for me even though it is my birth month. Mom went to heaven on 10/29/90 but I know in my heart she was not suffering any longer once she took that final breath. I had to Trust that God had my back and would give me the strength needed to care for her as long as He allowed her to remain. Mom loved roses and so do I with yellow being my favorite. I used my SU watercolor crayons to color my watercolor paper then cut the rose and leaves. I stamped on the front panel and inside with pear pizzazz and the envelope with so saffron. Hope you like it.

This is beautiful! I always have a hard time not being able to send Scripture verses in my HYCCT cards since God is our strength - just as you've said!!

Beautiful. I love the CAS design for this gorgeous water-colored, die-cut rose. Nicely done for all the challenges. The lovely sentiment on the front fits so well with the design and is encouraging. Also, the sentiment on the inside is so supportive. You were a warrior for your mom and she was a warrior in her battle for you. Thank you for the pretty card in honor of her. Thanks for sharing and caring by participating in HYCCT.

Neva, thanks for sharing your story. Yes, you are a warrior as you were a primary caregiver when your Mom needed you. I love the significance of the yellow rose. Thanks for joining our HYCCT challenges as much as you can this month.

Neva,
This is a beautiful card in your mother's memory! My mother too loved roses, red ones! Every time I see red roses I think of her, she died of a heart condition way back in 1984, only 56 years old.
This is indeed a beauty! Thank you for sharing the memories!
