I used the Folk Art brand of metallic pearl white paint. I found that this worked very well. I tried some with a sponge applicator, but didn't really like the uniformity of the paint. This bg looks pretty uniform, too bad I don't remember what I used for application. It's a fun and messy technique, but that's right up my alley!
The bg, pumpkin, and leaves were all done with this technique. I love how this works for the moon.
Edited to add, it was Kia's enabling and this beautiful card Heading into Fall CC545 by kiagc at Splitcoaststampers
that got me to purchase the leaf die set and pumpkin's die. Thanks for the enabling, Kia, I've had fun playing with both sets of dies!

Jennifer, your card is lovely and has such an aura with the faux pearl technique tha you used. TFS with the links as to how it is done. Beautiiful soft coloring of the pumpkin and leaves too.

Be still my heart! A wonderful autumn card! LOVE the way you colored the emb pumpkin and all of those sweet little leaves. Haven't tried that technique but I sure like the way it looks on this card.
