My birthday is in December, the birthstone can be blue topaz or turquoise. I happen to like the topaz, but LOVE turquoise! I made my own turquoise panel by brayering turquoise sea onto white paper, then used a crumpled piece of paper towel to dab a little rusty hinge here and there. Next, I used crumpled wax paper (didn't want to press as hard as I had to for the rusty hinge, so as to get a finer line) to dab the black ink. Die cut the flourish from doubled foil. I saved the little dots from the last time I cut the loopy rings die and placed 4 on the label punch with the sentiment which I sponged with Inka Gold silver around the edges. I made 3 loops with the ribbon and placed label over it with dimensionals, also used dimensionals to pop up the turquoise panel.

WOW...your turquoise panel looks like the real deal right down to the matrices. TFS how you created it...I'd like to give this a try.....always have been intrigued by faux finishes. Your card is lovely and has a beautiful composition....the flourish echoing the embossed design.

Beautiful! I agree with Sallie - you really captured the look of the stone. The silver flourish is reminescent of a lovely piece of jewelry. Lovely card!

Very pretty. I love the panel you created! I'm December, too and I really like the blue topaz, but the colors are about all the same. So I guess I should go and make a blue card!
