WooHoo it's Teapot Wednesday and Sheri has written another fun story about the town of Ponchadoodle and has challenged us to bring performing dogs! Our cards are going to a work colleague and friend of our very own Teapotter, Ruthie aka Buddy'smama.
For years and years Jack and Trevor volunteered at the local bird sanctuary. One day during their evening inspection they heard an unfamiliar sound coming from a rather large nest. Jack climbed up onto Trev's back so he could look in the nest....he was shocked to see a little puppy snuggled under a dove's wing.
This was a very strange sight....dove's hardly ever build a nest up that high. They quickly waddled to the head ranger's office to report their discovery. Ranger Tom was as shocked as Jacko and Trev, not only had he never seen a dove at the sanctuary he had never seen such a huge nest!!
Reports of the dove and her humongous nest was the talk of Ponchadoodle for months and months. It was later reported that Trev and Jacko adopted the puppy and named her Little Dove.
Now about the card, I must confess that this coloured background was already in my stash complete with the background stamps and white Sharpie paint spots. Both Trevor and Jack and the cowboy boots were stamped onto coloured off-cuts in my stash then fussy cut. The other little boots were stamped onto the card and the legs are hand-drawn before sticking the birds onto the card.
Little Dove started out life as an Art Impressions stamp ( RAK from my Cali mate, Stamperrobin).
Thank you for looking.

You are SO imaginative in story telling and card making. Those legs are wonderful (not sure how they keep the boots on the skinny legs however....)! Can you send just a tiny but of that imagination this way? Thanks for giving all of us a smile.

Little Dove is sweet. And your birds are just fabulous!! The colouring is amazing, and I just love their footgear. We saw storks' nests when we were on holidays this year - they would fit Little Dove, for sure!!
