My earliest memories of School - are being dressed in a little painting smock and standing at an easel and being given a paint brush and pots of lovely bright colours. I specialised in painting ladders - with bright rainbow coloured rungs to stand on. I don't know why ladders - but I specialised in it - he he. I am still in love with all the colours of the rainbow and love painting and colouring - so that first love of School has stayed with me.
This is probably stretching the Clean and Simple idea - but sometimes things just need that little touch more.
I hope you enjoy.

You are a unique individual Miss Helen...I don't think I have ever met anyone who specialises in painting ladders. That skill has obviously served you well my friend - another fabulous card.

I loved painting and art when I was young. I remember my "smock" was one of my dad's old shirts. This image is so cute...love the corner accents. I liked your story of painting rainbow ladders...

Such a sweet and adorable card! Especially love the image, your awesome coloring of it, and the corner treatments. I remember the "smocks" in art class.
So cute, such a sweet stamp. Definitely classic...I will have to ask my kids if they were smock or old button downs backwards for art still ;>)
Great take on this week's CAS challenge!

Oh, sweet Helen, what a precious card, and what a wonderful first-day-of-school memory! I remember being with my neighbor friend (a boy I grew up with), and we both were sitting there watching our moms look through the window at us. He started crying, I looked over, and then I started. I remember it well, and it's amazing the memories that last. This is a precious one and just the sweetest card! Hugs, sweet friend!
