For the challenge I used black chalkboard paint, white and black chalk, and colored pencils. To get the image on my "chalkboard" I stamped it with VersaMark Watermark ink (any embossing ink will do) and chalked in white and smeared it up before it dried. I started coloring the image with pencils and then went around it with some snowflakes, to help the image pop I went around the edges with a black colored pencil and lightly blended with odorless mineral spirits on a stump (tutorial here). Where I wanted my chalkboard darker I rubbed some black chalk around and rubbed it in with my finger.
For the sentiment I used the same chalkboard paint and white chalk base, but when I stamped with watermark ink I embossed with Detail White powder and then added a little line swirl with colored pencil.
